Singapore Tourism Board (STB) looks forward to welcoming Hong Kong travellers on the bilateral Air Travel Bubble (ATB) between Singapore and Hong Kong which will commence on 26 May.

Together with our tourism partners, we hope to show Hong Kong travellers how Singapore has reimagined new standards of travel.”
Over the last year, Singapore’s tourism sector has shown both resilience and ingenuity, to meet the evolving needs of visitors and ensure that every aspect of their experience is safe, yet delightful. Hong Kong travellers on the ATB will be amongst the first overseas visitors to enjoy Singapore’s new and reimagined experiences across art, attractions, dining and innovative local tours.
For example, the iconic Gardens by the Bay will play host to world-renowned artist Dale Chihuly’s first major garden exhibition in Asia, Dale Chihuly: Glass in Bloom, from 1 May to 1 August 2021. Chihuly reimagines the landscapes of Gardens by the Bay with 25 of his breathtaking large-scale installations, as well as more than 80 pedestal sculptures and two-dimensional works. The first-ever Museum of Ice Cream outside of the US will open in Singapore coming August 2021. The experiential museum will feature 14 new installations spread over 60,000 sq ft of space, all dedicated to the celebration and joy of ice cream.
Singapore’s COVID-19 situation has been under control over the past few months, with a continued low number of community cases. Singapore moved into Phase 3 of its re-opening on 28 December 2020, and since then, more activities and businesses have resumed gradually and safely. For instance:
- Group size for gatherings has increased from 5 to 8 people.
- To date, 46 attractions, 277 hotels, and over 2,100 tour itineraries have received approval to resume operations with robust safe management measures in place.
- Capacity limits at approved attractions have increased from 50% to 65%.
- Local walking, kayaking and cycling tours can take up to 50 people, up from the previous limit of 20, with no limits in terms of duration.
- Larger business-to-business events in the Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions (MICE) industry are allowed, with up to 750 attendees (with effect from 24 Apr 2021). This is an increase from the current limit of 250 attendees.
As of 8 April 2021, more than 1,400 tourism-related premises, including F&B and retail within tourism establishments and Sentosa have been certified SG Clean – Singapore’s national mark of excellence for environmental public hygiene.
