There’s no stopping an empowered woman who knows what she wants, and works hard to get it. A mission this year’s International Women’s Day celebration across the planet aims to achieve with #EmbraceEquity thus making equity, equality and inclusion a `must have’ for women around the world. A philosophy Singapore’s top female stand-up comedian, Sharul Channa lives and leads by.

After sold out shows and packed-out auditoriums in Singapore, Malaysia and Australia, Singapore’s top female stand-up siren, SHARUL CHANNA comes to MUMBAI, DELHI, CHANDIGARH, India, with her `clean jokes dirty minds’ #womensdaytour, guaranteed to shake and stir your belly buttons. Think you can handle her?!! With her India tour, Sharul turns the volume up on `fempowerment’ and what it takes to teach the boys a thing or two on equal women power.

Channa has performed to packed houses all over Asia and Australia. And now it’s India’s turn

Formally trained in theatre from Lasalle, College of the Arts, Sharul has been a full-time stand-up comedian for the last 13 years, performing to packed houses all over Asia and Australia.
Over the past few years, Sharul has used comedy to shed light on important, and sometimes neglected social issues in Singapore, creating and starring in many works like Crazy Poor Sita and Am I Old? earning her critical acclaim from the likes of The Straits Times.

Most recently, Channa performed to packed houses in Sarawak and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, having just completed a successful run of shows in Singapore and Malaysia in conjunction with International Women’s Day Month.

Being a woman in Asia who doesn’t really fit any stereotype, Sharul comedically discusses her identity crises, her life choices and her observations pertaining to the world. She has performed on some of the most globally renowned platforms, namely Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Comedy Central, Kings and Queen of Comedy Asia to name a few.

Joining her on this amazing India tour are India’s own female stand up power-houses, Aditi Mittal (April 8th, Chandigarh) and Neeti Palta (April 2nd, Delhi).

Very excited and looking forward to her India tour of stand-up comedy, Sharul Channa states, “I look forward to entertaining India’s incredible audiences who have a very special place in my heart. Being born in India, but brought up in Singapore, has ensured that I have a parent-child relationship with both the countries.”
