November is looking rather fabulous — and decidedly busy. Kuala Lumpur has comedy, stadium-sized music, art, fashion and cultural celebrations on the calendar, while Penang is bringing its own brand of glamour to an evening with a cause.

So, sharpen those stilettos, check your calendar and let’s get out there, darlings.

TREVOR NOAH — TWO NIGHTS, ONE VERY QUICK WIT

9 & 10 November 2026 | 8PM
IDEA Live Arena, Kuala Lumpur

The South African comedian, bestselling author and former The Daily Show host is bringing his live show to KL for two nights.

Noah has a knack for turning cultural differences, everyday absurdities and the uncomfortable truths we all recognise into comedy gold. Expect sharp observations, quick-fire humour and possibly a moment or two when you find yourself laughing a little too hard at your own expense.

Tickets: SOLD OUT. Boo hoo if you didn’t get yours😉

THE WEEKND — AFTER HOURS, KL!

4 & 5 November 2026 | 8.30PM
TM Stadium Nasional, Bukit Jalil

Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd, brings his After Hours Til Dawn Tour to Kuala Lumpur. And this is no ordinary concert date.

With hits such as Blinding Lights, Save Your Tears, Starboy and The Hills, The Weeknd has created a musical universe of dark pop, R&B and cinematic spectacle. Expect big production, immersive visuals and a stadium full of fans who know every word.

If you have tickets, enjoy every minute. If you don’t, I suggest you find something else to console yourself with. A little retail therapy, perhaps?

Tickets: SOLD OUT. Even The Stiletto Diaries is having a moment.

SUTRA FOUNDATION — ART WITH A STORY, AND A CAUSE

November brings two fine art exhibitions from Sutra Foundation, and both deserve a place on the cultural calendar.

KamaRia, The Living Presence is a mini-retrospective by Odia artist Kishore Sahoo, marking a decade as artist-in-residence at KamaRia Gallery. Working in charcoal, watercolour and acrylic, Sahoo draws on his roots in Kendrapara, India, his journey in Malaysia and the influence of his late mentor, Dr Dinanath Pathy. Expect dreamlike landscapes, flora and fauna, with the rhythm of Odissi woven into the work.

Opening: 6 November 2026 | 8PM
KamaRia Gallery, 6 Jalan 16/7, Seksyen 16, Petaling Jaya

The second exhibition, Between Black & White, features Malaysian artist Amanda Vashti‘s monochrome works exploring wildlife, form and conservation. Its grand opening will be officiated by YB Puan Syerleena Abdul Rashid, MP for Bukit Bendera.

And here’s the detail that makes this one particularly worthwhile: 5% of exhibition proceeds will support wildlife conservation in partnership with PERHILITAN. Art with a conscience? Always worth making time for.

Opening: 13 November 2026 | 7PM
Sutra Gallery, 12 Persiaran Titiwangsa 3, Kuala Lumpur

FASHIONABLY MODEST ASIA — MODEST FASHION, BIG IDEAS

13–15 November 2026
Pavilion Arena, Pavilion Damansara Heights

Fashionably Modest Asia returns for its second edition, bringing established names, emerging designers and creative collaborations together for three days of fashion. And let’s be clear: modest fashion is no longer a conversation happening on the sidelines. It’s an evolving expression of identity, craftsmanship, culture and personal style — with plenty to say on the runway.

This year’s line-up includes Radzuan Radziwill, Asyraf Arrif, Enya Chok, Jeffery Goh, Shaznash, SYOMSZ by Syomirizwa Gupta, Wan & Mary and Sharifah Kirana, alongside Malaysian and regional labels from Singapore and Indonesia.

Media platforms Majalah WM, Mingguan Wanita, Nona and Hijabista will each present runway showcases. Khainina Khalil joins the platform, Wardah returns as Official Makeup and Beauty Partner, while Eternity by ELFI makes its runway debut in collaboration with Wan & Mary.

It’s a strong mix of fashion voices, and one we’re keen to see unfold. After all, style has never been about fitting into a box.

ISLAMIC FASHION FESTIVAL — 20 YEARS, 49 SHOWS AND A GOLDEN PERANAKAN CELEBRATION

21–23 November 2026
Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur

Twenty years, 49 shows and a milestone celebration. The Islamic Fashion Festival (IFF) returns to Kuala Lumpur with Peranakan: The Golden Era, a theme celebrating heritage, cultural integration and the beauty of shared influences.

Founded by Yang Berhormat Mulia Tengku Sri Kelana D’Raja, Adjunct Professor Dato’ Sri Raja Rezza Shah, IFF has travelled across four continents over two decades. This anniversary edition marks another chapter for a festival that continues to evolve while keeping culture firmly in the conversation.

The runway brings together 13 Malaysian and 11 Indonesian designers, including Rizman Ruzaini, Radzuan Radziwill, Tom Abang Saufi, Calvin Thoo, Ezuwan Ismail, Shanell Harun and Ghea Panggabean. Headscarf, handbag and jewellery brands round out the collections.

With three daily show slots at 11.30AM, 3PM and 8PM, performances by Liza Aziz, Nadeera and Haziq Rosebi, a celebration of heritage in fashion is a rather lovely combination.

THE PAWS AFFAIR — A LITTLE GLAMOUR, A LOT OF HEART

Sunday, 15 November 2026 | 6PM onwards
Seven Terraces Hotel, George Town, Penang

And now for an event with a different kind of star power — the four-legged variety.

The Paws Affair 2026, organised by HaiwanKu and Anna Rescue, brings together animal lovers and supporters for an evening of Peranakan dining, live entertainment, a charity auction towards fund-raising and lucky draw, all in aid of stray and abandoned animals.

The auction line-up is worth a closer look: a collector’s watch, bespoke pet kebaya ensembles by Melinda Looi, jewellery from Suen Jewellers, original artworks by artists from China and the UK, designer bags donated by Ariff Shukor, exclusive gifts from Fuan Gallery and so on. But the real prize is what the funds will support: emergency veterinary treatment, rescue and rehabilitation, food, shelter, ongoing care and spaying and neutering programmes.

The Stiletto Diaries has always believed compassion should be more than a lovely sentiment posted on social media. It should translate into action. This is a chance to dress up, enjoy a beautiful Penang evening, bid for something special and help animals who need a second chance.

Cultural elegance with a conscience? Now that’s a dress code worth embracing.
